  • Eyenuk, Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles, California, is focused on quickly and accurately identifying patients suffering from potentially blinding eye diseases and preserving their vision. Using computer vision and image analysis expertise, the company is developing a portfolio of products based on its proprietary retinal image analysis technology combined with deep learning to identify and track the progression of eye diseases including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

We are a bunch of bright and motivated image analysis, machine vision, and biomedical image processing experts, working on commercializing retinal image analysis software and web applications. We are, of course, having a lot of fun on the way!

    Founder and CEO

    Kaushal got his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UCSB. He has over 14 years experience and a proven track record in computer vision, machine learning, and related research. He likes music and plays Tabla – an Indian percussion instrument.

    VP of Global Commercialization

    Paul Rockley is an accomplished commercial leader with over 20 years experience in medical device companies such as J&J, Allergan, and Abbott Medical Optics where he held global leadership positions. He is also a co-inventor on over 30 patents. He likes to travel, ski and hike.

    VP of Global Business Development

    Kevin is an accomplished executive who drives new business and leads alliances by cultivating physician and corporate relationships with health systems, medical practices, hospitals, biopharma, medical device companies and patient advocacy groups. Kevin is a graduate of Yale University and the Harvard Business School. He is also an avid Chicago sports fan.

    Chaithanya got his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from USC. His thesis work was on natural image statistics and contour extraction. His research interests are computer vision, machine learning and computational neuroscience. He likes reading and hiking.

    Sandeep got his PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCSB. His thesis work was on biological image processing. His research interests are computer vision, image and signal processing and machine learning. He is an avid photographer and loves playing squash.

    Malavika got her PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCSB. Her thesis work was on video compression and processing. Her research interests are video, image processing, computer vision, information theory, and machine learning. She is a trained Carnatic singer and loves Indian classical music.

    Head of Clinical Development

    Greg is the first member of Eyenuk in the UK. He has over 15 years of grading experience, working in DR, AMD, retinal angiography, and GAC clinics. He has interim managed over 11 DR screening programs internationally. He is working towards a PhD in Opthalmology. He plays the guitar, and is a keen photographer.

    Christian Siagian got his Ph.D. in Computer Science from USC working on mobile robot vision localization and navigation. His research interests are computer vision, robotics, machine learning. He is training to compete in bodybuilding and plays music and teaches Sunday School at his church.
